descriptionof work
this position provides direct supervision to caseworkers and supports the full range of child welfare responsibilities. It ensures that all casework follows state and federal rules, agency policies, and required timelines. As a county casework supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- case supervision: oversee each caseworker’s placement reviews, guidance, and ongoing service planning
- compliance oversight: ensure all case documents, plans, and assessments meet state, federal, and agency requirements
- court preparation: review and schedule petitions, forms, and casework meetings with legal representatives
- family support: coordinate case management and counseling services for children, youth, and families facing crises or major life changes
- investigation monitoring: supervise the review of suspected child abuse or neglect cases
- program coordination: meet with community partners to align services with the needs of children and youth
- full-time employment
- work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, monday - friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- telework: you will not have the option to telework in this position.
- salary:in some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

- two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
- this particular position also requires a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.

- you must be able to perform essential job functions.
- this position falls under the provisions of the child protective services law.
