McKnight International is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to support the enhancement and modernization of a mission-critical, in-house financial system within the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) IT environment.

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving full-stack applications that support airport financial operations, system integrations, and reporting capabilities. The position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performing technical solutions in a structured, public-sector environment.

This role sits within an active airport environment and supports systems critical to aviation operations, financial tracking, and program management. Experience working in aviation, transportation, or other highly regulated environments is highly valued.

The individual hired will represent McKnight International while supporting project and program delivery efforts for the client, balancing new development initiatives with legacy system support.

• Serve as a technical resource supporting application development and system modernization efforts
• Participate in recurring internal and client meetings to review system updates, enhancements, and priorities
• Contribute to architectural discussions, including microservices and cloud adoption
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs
• Support continuous improvement of development processes and system capabilities
• Operate within a live airport environment where system reliability and operational continuity are critical

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications (backend and frontend)
• Enhance and modernize an existing financial system supporting airport operations and capital programs
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs across internal and external systems
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data workflows
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and participate in code reviews
• Support application deployments, troubleshooting, and production stability
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, infrastructure teams, and vendors
• Collaborate with stakeholders across airport IT, operations, and program management teams
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Contribute to system design improvements and modernization efforts

• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support performance optimization across applications and databases

• 5+ years of experience in full stack software development
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core / C#
• Experience with Angular and Type Script for frontend development
• Proficiency with LINQ for data querying and manipulation
• Strong experience with SQL Server , including performance tuning and complex queries
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience working within Azure environments
• Experience working in a client-facing, enterprise, or operational environment
• Experience supporting aviation, transportation, infrastructure, or other regulated environments preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
