Our Central York High School pool serves both students and community members, providing a safe and engaging aquatic experience for all ages.
Job SummaryResponsible for instructing, supervising, and testing all swim lesson participants according to the set standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.
- Instruct students using skill progression and enjoyable learning activities. Demonstrate enthusiasm for student progress.
- Instruct students in safe water practices while in class.
- Plan lesson outlines and organize class.
- Communicate at student level and use motivational techniques.
- Attend and participate in all in-service training as a requirement of employment.
- Complete 200 yards every 2 weeks.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (or willing to obtain).
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certified preferred.
- Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid FBI, Act 34 & Act 151 clearances within the last twelve (12) months.
- Competitive pay - $12.00 per hour.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate school and other commitments.
