We are excited to welcome an enthusiastic Driver License Examiner to join our Clearfield licensing team.

This role focuses on evaluating driver license applicants through standardized knowledge and practical driving tests. You will ensure applicants meet required safety standards and follow all testing procedures. As a Driver License Examiner, you will perform the following duties:
- Applicant Evaluation:Determine physical readiness, driving ability, and vehicle condition for safe operation
- Knowledge Testing: Administer written examinations to assess understanding of the Vehicle Code and traffic signs
- Driving Tests: Conduct pre-trip inspections and administer road tests for non-commercial license applicants
- Document Review: Examine applications, registrations, and permits to identify errors or potential fraud
- Vision Screening: Perform telebinocular, color perception, and other required vision tests
- Customer Service: Follow customer service policies and apply fee waiver guidelines accurately

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 40 hours/week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime and travel to other driver license centers may be required as necessary.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
- All positions require an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application.
- All positions require no suspensions or revocations of a driver’s license during the five year period immediately preceding employment.
- All employees in this job hired after February 28, 2022, are required to obtain an active unrestricted Class M driver’s license within the first six months of employment or before the end of the probationary period and maintain it during employment.
