Aboutthe Position
Warehouse Lead – Act as a coach and leader of warehouse associates, training teammates to fulfill daily tasks while managing your own responsibilities. Duties may include shipping/receiving, packaging, inventory control, and material handling, with backup responsibilities for the supervisor as needed.
Functions- Train new warehouse associates and forklift drivers; conduct Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and annual recertification training.
- Conduct EIP, performance, and maintenance observations.
- Safely operate powered industrial equipment (clamp/slip sheet) to move products or materials for distribution.
- Complete applicable paperwork (e.g., shipping/tracking labels) per SOPs and regulatory agencies such as DOT, IATA, IMDG.
- Participate in inventory/cycle count activities, reporting variances to leadership.
- Perform daily safety inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
- Ensure the facility is inspection‑ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer requirements.
- Communicate and report any incidents to supervisor.
- Ensure product rotation procedures are followed.
- Review and analyze daily production reports.
- Serve as backup to other warehouse roles as needed.
- Other duties may apply based on the specific department.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse/distribution operations experience and at least 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Licensed forklift operator or ability to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
