PTS Electrician

Position: PTS Electrician (Permanent)
We are recruiting for an experienced Installation Electrician Supervisor to join a Rail Team in Scunthorpe. You will work alongside the construction team to deliver an exciting and expanding portfolio of rail telecommunications projects for major clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

* Install, test, and commission low voltage electrical infrastructure in line with BS7671 and UK railway standards.

* Lead and support your team in delivering electrical and telecoms installations across railway sites.

* Conduct site surveys, produce detailed reports, and ensure safe isolation practices are followed.

* Produce Electrical Installation Certificates, Condition Reports, and Minor Works certifications.

* Share knowledge, best practice, and guidance across the team to support continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience:

* Strong experience in low voltage electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.

* Competent in reading and working from electrical schematics.

* Knowledge of UK rail communications and signalling networks.

* Understanding of BS7671 and safe isolation procedures.

* Confident in leading a team while remaining hands-on.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and site documentation.

* ISO and Network Rail Standards experience desirable.

* NICEIC (or equivalent) qualified supervisor desirable.

Qualifications:

* CG 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing

* CG 2382 BSth Edition

* CG 2357 Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (or equivalent)

* ECS Cardholder

* Sentinel Personal Track Safety (PTS) Cardholder
