The Role- Deliver planned and reactive maintenance to a wide range of plant equipment and assets
- Allocate work to small teams and provide status updates on works carried out
- Lead work groups consisting of internal employees and contractors within the manufacturing areas, ensuring tasks are carried out safely and efficiently
- Carry out a range of electrical maintenance duties to support asset reliability and respond to work arising
- Operate in a highly mechanised and automated setting, mandating a deep understanding of health and safety principles
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all pertinent statutory legislation and company directives
- Identify hazards and implement safety procedures tailored to the specific area of responsibility and maintenance tasks
- Qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade or must have served a recognised apprenticeship
- Ideally have experience of electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial or heavy engineering environment
- Must be able to adapt to new equipment, must be flexible, with a desire to learn and develop
- Knowledge of steelmaking processes would be beneficial but not mandatory, as extensive training will be provided
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Be highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must demonstrate flexibility within the team and willingness to undertake mandatory training to perform the role effectively
- Must exhibit a positive approach to work and contribute positively to the team
- Maintain good timekeeping skills
