Collections Specialist

Description

Make and receive customer calls to address overdue accounts and discuss repayment options. Provide exceptional service while encouraging customers to make payments on their past‑due accounts.

• Encourage and facilitate payments on past‑due accounts.
• Accurately record customer interactions, including communication logs, payments, repayment plan enrollments, and other important information.
• Gather information to understand customers’ financial situations and build meaningful relationships.
• Negotiate, probe, influence, and demonstrate resourcefulness to achieve outcomes.

• Demonstrated empathy while being assertive to achieve required outcomes.
• Ability to meet and exceed quality goals, compliance regulations, and productivity targets individually and within a team.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
• Experience in customer service or collections related roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Base pay $20 per hour. Monthly incentives ranging from $1,250 to $2,500 based on performance.

First 90 days: in‑office 8a.m.–5p.m., Monday‑Friday. Afterward, schedule bids every 6 months with 8a.m.–5p.m., 10a.m.–7p.m., or 12p.m.–9p.m. Evening shift receives 15% shift differential. Must be flexible to work some Saturdays.
