Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-6 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for young learners during the  school year. The role is structured for part-time engagement—providing two full days of direct services and reserving a half day each week for meetings and testing.

You’ll collaborate with dedicated educational teams to help a growing caseload in a supportive and engaging school setting. The assignment begins at the end of August and continues until the school year concludes, allowing you to play a vital part in each child’s academic journey.

Desired Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Hold a valid DE SLP license (considering SLP-CCC, SLPA, or Clinical Fellows with school-based experience)
  • Expertise in delivering speech-language services in educational environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfort providing direct therapy as well as conducting evaluations and participating in meetings
  • Adaptable to in-person services (option to transition to virtual by August may be considered)
  • Passion for working with K-6th grade students and commitment to individualized support
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver assessment and intervention services for a varied caseload of K-6 students
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and student planning
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to support each student's progress
  • Stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy
  • Participate in meetings and testing as needed
