Special Education Teacher in Seaford, DE

Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher for a K-6 program in a supportive school environment. For the upcoming school year (August 24, 2026, through May 2027), this contract opportunity offers the chance to help shape young learners educational journeys. Youll work with a manageable caseload of 15-18 students, all located within a single school allowing you to focus on building strong connections and providing dedicated instruction.

Typical hours run from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The schedule can be flexibly structured to help accommodate your needs. Youll create and implement Individualized Education Programs, collaborate with families and staff, and foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.

• Valid Special Education Degree
• Eligible for state licensure (outside of state licenses considered)
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in K-6 settings
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to individualized and differentiated instruction

• Design, adapt, and deliver instruction based on IEP goals and student needs
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
• Partner with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success
• Cultivate a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development as required
