Responsibilities
- Design of water, sewer, wastewater, subsurface infrastructure and utility plans, including corresponding profiles and specification data.
- Design of stormwater management facilities and drainage conveyance systems, including hydrologic & hydraulic modeling, erosion and sediment control protection, relevant design calculations, etc.
- Prepare code compliant calculations and reports.
- Prepare permit drawings and application packages.
- Prepare site surveys and existing conditions plans.
- Provide on-site review services during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Perform related duties as assigned or required to meet company goals and objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- FE/EIT, PE Preferred
- Basic familiarity with land surveying techniques, and land development practices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Stormwater Modeling Software such as Hydro
CAD and Hydraflow Hydrographs, Drainage Modeling Software such as Storm
CAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, and spreadsheet computations. - Effective written and oral communication skills are a must for preparation of project reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
- Team player, ability to work in an interdisciplinary office environment, detail oriented, and self-disciplined to work in a hybrid office.
- Ability to independently complete site GPS surveying and lead detailed surveying field work.
- Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, and scour analysis.
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software for open channel and closed conveyance systems such as, Storm
CAD, HEC-RAS, etc. - Experience with roadway design and traffic analysis.
- Experience with DelDOT design standards.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D grading, gravity & pressure pipes, and corridor design.
- Experience with GIS software and integration with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Field experience with construction review and Certification as a Delaware CCR.
