This regional position is responsible for supplying cost‑effective and reliable equipment systems that support sales of Water Treatment and Pulp & Paper Chemicals. The scope includes system specification, design, construction oversight, field installation, equipment start‑up, and troubleshooting. The role acts as the primary equipment liaison for the field sales force and functions with limited supervision. Success is measured by the cost and performance of designed systems in the field.
KeyAccountabilities / Essential Functions
- Equipment systems expertise – provide the required support for the field sales force to correctly specify, install, and run equipment systems.
- On‑site scope out, design and installation – lead 10% of the time in designing and installing feed equipment at customer sites.
- Manage Equipment Project Requests – use the GEER/AFE process to ensure projects are properly approved (20% of the time).
- Field equipment capital asset management – maintain the asset pool to minimize idle assets, track capital assets and coordinate vendor refurbishment (20% of the time).
- Design recommendations – facilitate low‑cost procurement paths (5%).
- Field sales interface – provide equipment manuals, specifications, and safety protocol (5%).
- Product management – maintain an equipment product line, manage SAP coding and pricing to sustain profitability (10%).
- Vendor qualification support – support qualification of vendors for outsourced construction (5%).
- Product development – facilitate design and support of equipment systems to improve offerings and support product launches (15%).
- Technology transfer – provide training and technical information to improve understanding of equipment technology (5%).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or another technical discipline (experience may be considered in lieu).
- At least 5 years of industry experience in project management of complex projects.
- Strong relationship‑management skills.
- Ability to learn new concepts or technologies and apply them.
- Comfortable working autonomously and coaching direct or indirect reports.
- Experience collaborating across multiple levels within an organization to achieve results.
- Documented results solving complex and non‑routine technical problems.
Base salary range: $93,530.00 – $ plus discretionary bonuses.
