The Outreach Coordinator develops, coordinates, and implements community outreach initiatives that promote awareness of agency programs, services, and resources while fostering meaningful community engagement. This position establishes and maintains collaborative partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, state agencies, local businesses, and other stakeholders to expand outreach efforts and strengthen community relationships.

As an Outreach Coordinator, you will plan and coordinate outreach events, presentations, workshops, recruitment activities, and public engagement opportunities. You serve as a resource to community members by providing information, referrals, and guidance, while representing the agency through professional communication, presentations, and community partnerships.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining outreach and event calendars, coordinating logistics for outreach activities, creating promotional and informational materials, tracking participation and outreach metrics, and preparing reports to evaluate program effectiveness and support continuous improvement. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with occasional evening and weekend work required.

• Possession of experience creating and producing digital communications, marketing, outreach, or educational materials using graphic design and digital content creation platforms, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, or Premiere Pro). Experience should include developing print and digital publications, presentations, social media content, promotional materials, and other visual communications using established branding, design, and accessibility standards.

• Conducts individual and group intake sessions to orient job seekers and employers to the services available and instructs and coaches job seekers/employers on using resources/equipment available.
• Conducts individual or group assessments to determine level of service needs.
• Identifies job seeker's employment potential using assessment tools and labor market information.
• Assists job seekers to develop realistic and achievable employment goals; identifies obstacles/barriers to employment; jointly formulate employability development plans directed at employment outcomes.
• Refers clients to employers for possible job placement based upon comparison of applicant qualifications to employer job requirements.
• Refers clients to educational and other support service agencies to resolve obstacles to employment.
• Develops job placement opportunities.
• Works with eligible job seekers to obtain training from state approved training institutions or explores other avenues for pursuing training and employment goals.
• Monitors job seeker's progress towards completion of employability development plan and modifies as necessary.
