Nurse Practitioner - Pre-Operative Evaluation & Optimization

Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates (POA) has been providing exceptional orthopaedic care to the Delmarva Peninsula community for over 73 years. With a team of 17 physicians specializing in various sub-specialty orthopaedic areas, POA offers advanced orthopaedic treatment services.

This is a part-time OR full-time on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pre-Operative Evaluation & Optimization. The Nurse Practitioner will conduct pre-operative evaluations, optimize patients for surgery, and coordinate with the surgical team. She/he will also provide patient education, perform physical assessments, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Anticipate 8 - 12 patients per day with in-depth patient evaluations to improve patient surgical outcomes.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Experience in emergency medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Current Nurse Practitioner license and certification within Delaware
• Previous experience in orthopaedics or surgical settings is a plus
