Job DescriptionOur beekeeping unit manages more than 350 honey bee colonies. However, our focus is not on honey production or marketing, but on scientific research and the protection of bees. In this holistic role, you will work both in beekeeping and in research.
You will be responsible for colony management within our scientific studies. This includes swarm control, Varroa treatments, relocating colonies according to study requirements, and overwintering.
You will record the development and health of the colonies within our studies and contribute to queen breeding.
You will also support the execution and supervision of field trials for the approval of plant protection products. In these trials, you will work with various naturally occurring organisms such as plants and animals.
