As an Oncology Customer Team Leader (CTL), you will manage and lead a team of Oncology Sales Representatives/Specialists that engage with customers to uncover and address their needs, educate key stakeholders about our oncology products, and communicate to the broader oncology community.
Key Responsibilities- Maximize the sales team's performance and help achieve or exceed sales goals and budget targets, increasing access to our oncology products.
- Hire, lead, and manage oncology sales professionals for the Mid‑Atlantic District.
- Coach direct reports, oversee training, and complete people‑management processes.
- Collaborate with the oncology sales organization, including peer CTLs, Key Account Managers, and alliance partners to ensure a cohesive customer experience and effective sales execution.
- Develop and implement business plans and execute national sales and brand strategies as directed by leadership.
- Communicate and coordinate with district and cross‑functional teams, sharing learnings with direct reports and peers.
- Lead routine district sales meetings, both remote and in‑person, to inform and guide the team.
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments for direct reports.
- Handle all aspects of the employment process for your direct reports, in collaboration with HR.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of sales experience, OR a high school diploma with at least 10 years of equivalent experience, including at least 4 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
- Equivalent experience may include professional sales or marketing experience, work in healthcare/scientific fields (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices), or military experience.
- Ability to establish relationships and networks within customer organizations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive.
- Travel the amount of time the role requires, 50–75%.
- Residency within or close to the Mid‑Atlantic District.
- First‑line people‑management experience leading a field‑based oncology sales team.
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with key thought leaders or high‑influence oncology customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.
