Systems Integrations is seeking a hands-on Lead Installation Technician who can also take ownership of day-to-day project management for commercial security projects. This role leads field execution, coordinates resources and schedules, maintains quality and safety standards, and ensures projects are delivered on time and to specification.
- Lead installation, service, and commissioning of:
- Video surveillance systems
- Access control systems
- Intrusion alarm systems
- Supporting network/IT components (as applicable)
- Perform site walks, verify scope, and identify field conditions that impact design or schedule.
- Ensure clean, code-compliant workmanship (cable management, labeling, device placement, penetrations, patching as required).
- Configure and validate system performance (camera views, recording, access control door function, alarm zones, integrations).
- Troubleshoot issues in the field and coordinate escalations when needed.
- Maintain jobsite safety, tool control, and proper handling of customer property.
- Build and maintain project schedules (labor plan, milestones, commissioning dates).
- Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors (e.g., electricians) as needed.
- Track materials, staging, and deliveries; confirm correct equipment is on hand before mobilization.
- Communicate proactively with customers on schedule, access requirements, and site readiness.
- Manage change orders and scope adjustments: document, communicate, and support pricing inputs.
- Lead punch list completion and closeout package delivery.
- Follow company standards for testing, commissioning, and documentation.
- Support compliance requirements and best practices (including NDAA equipment requirements).
- Represent Systems Integrations professionally on customer sites and maintain strong client relationships.
- 5+ years of hands-on commercial security installation experience (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience leading installs and mentoring other technicians.
- Access control hardware (door strikes, maglocks, REX, door contacts) and basic wiring
- Low-voltage cabling standards and termination
- Basic networking concepts (IP addressing, PoE, VLAN awareness, troubleshooting)
- Strong project coordination skills: scheduling, documentation, and customer communication.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in NJ/PA/DE.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and work in typical construction environments.
- Manufacturer certifications or experience with systems such as Hanwha, Rhombus, PDK, Feenics, Software House or similar.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and multi-trade job sites.
- Familiarity with service agreements, maintenance contracts, and post-install support processes.
- OSHA-30 or OSHA-10 with willingness to upgrade to OSHA-30
