Role Description
The Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Seagoville, TX. This role is responsible for managing existing customer accounts, building strong relationships, and serving as the primary point of contact for orders, availability, and delivery coordination. Day-to-day tasks include responding to customer inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and tracking shipments to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. The Account Manager will collaborate closely with the nursery and operations teams to understand plant inventory, seasonal offerings, and product suitability for client needs.
Additional responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities within accounts, maintaining accurate records in the order systems, and providing proactive communication about new products, promotions, and scheduling. The role requires a hands‑on approach and frequent interaction with onsite staff, customers, and plants.
- Customer relationship and account management skills, including consultative communication and follow-through.
- Experience with sales, order processing, and basic negotiation in a wholesale or B2B environment.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple accounts, orders, and deadlines.
- Comfort with using computers and software (CRM systems, spreadsheets, email) for tracking accounts and inventory.
- Basic horticultural knowledge or strong interest in plants, particularly perennials and seasonal color suitable for North Texas.
- Ability to work on‑site in a nursery environment, including standing and walking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse customers and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in horticulture, agriculture, or business is a plus.
- Previous experience in nursery, landscaping, agriculture, or related industries is beneficial but not required.
