Overview
The Welder is responsible for performing a variety of welding tasks in support of concrete construction operations. This role involves cutting, joining, and repairing metal components used in formwork, rebar assemblies, structural supports, and equipment. The Welder ensures that all welding work meets safety standards, engineering specifications, and project timelines. Work is performed on-site and may involve collaboration with project managers, field supervisors, and concrete crews to ensure structural integrity and compliance with applicable codes.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Layout components in accordance with detailed prints provided
- Fit up components and verify they are within specified tolerances
- Set up weld equipment for the specific task to be performed
- Weld components using proper equipment and techniques
- Grind and finish welds to make them aesthetically appealing
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks and preventative maintenance tasks
- Operate material handling equipment as needed based on safety guidelines
- Other miscellaneous duties as needed
- Possesses 1-2 years of experience with aluminum and steel welding
- Experience in MIG welding carbon steel & aluminum spool gun 30 Amp Miller gun
- Certification is required
