Flight Operations Engineer (Associate or Mid Level)
Location:
Seal Beach, CA.
- Develops, maintains and obtains regulatory agency approval for Airplane Flight Manual data necessary for the safe and efficient operation of Boeing airplanes.
- Investigates and analyzes engineering databases, documents, specifications, and change paper to determine customer airplane configurations.
- Uses basic aerodynamic knowledge along with a knowledge of certification requirements and customer expectations to prepare Airplane Flight Manuals using web-based document authoring applications.
- Coordinates review of the AFM with Engineering-Unit Members and regulatory agency personnel to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Supports/contributes to the development of new and existing technologies, tools, and processes to enhance technology readiness and reduce cycle time and cost of authoring.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- 2 or more years of related work experience.
- 5 or more years of related work experience.
- Experience working with the FAA and foreign regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of aerodynamics, airplane performance, flight test, and certification.
- Experience in developing regulatory manuals and technical service documentation.
Associate (Level
2): $104,400 - $127,600
Mid-Level (Level
3): $126,900 - $155,100
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person,” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
