Senior Ground Systems Engineer (Level 5 or 6)

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Space & Mission Systems MILSATCOM Program seeks a Senior Ground Systems Engineer (Level 5 or 6) to provide leadership and guidance in developing the nation's next‑generation satellite ground mission planning systems.
Position Responsibilities
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex system solution.
- Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
- Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
- Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
- Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
- Supports government and interface working groups.
- Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 14+ years of engineering experience
- Must be willing to travel domestically as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Principal, Level 6: 20+ years of engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- Experience with Agile and Model Based Engineering processes
- Experience in the complete systems engineering lifecycle.
- Possess basic orbital dynamics, RF communications, satellite links, transponder loading, and military communication architectures.
- Experience with Satellite Bus and Payload Resource Management
- System Familiarity:
Operational knowledge of key MILSATCOM systems
Shift: 1st shift
Salary Range Senior (Level 5): $176,800 – $239,200
Salary Range Principal (Level 6): $210,800 – $285,200
