Structural Analysis Engineer (Mid‑Level or Senior)
Location:
Seal Beach, CA | Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off (12 AM – 12 PM or 12 PM – 12 AM)
This role supports all in‑service Boeing commercial airplane models, including MD‑10, MD‑11, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and 787. The engineer will develop structural repairs, perform static and fatigue analyses, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address repairs and problem resolution.
Responsibilities- Develop structural repairs for Boeing and MD series models.
- Conduct static and fatigue analyses for primary and secondary structures.
- Review customer repair requests and determine optimal resolution paths.
- Prepare repair solutions and approval documents for customers.
- Communicate with Boeing and customer executive leadership.
- Collaborate with multiple Boeing teams to develop repair solutions.
- Review outgoing customer messages for clarity and quality.
- Initiate proactive repair solutions across the Boeing fleet.
- Analyze and develop substantiation packages for repairs or fly‑on limits.
- Research technical, operational, and quality issues unresolved by customers.
- Assess customer communications to resolve potential fleet safety issues.
- Assist customers with urgent “Aircraft On Ground” (AOG) issues.
- Provide mentorship to other engineers and lead process improvements.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years experience with airplane structural analysis (static/fatigue).
- 9+ years of related work experience (or equivalent).
- 3+ years experience with composite and/or metallic structures.
- 3+ years aircraft design and/or repair experience.
- Experience with Boeing aircraft data, CSW, IAS, and other BCA tools.
- Experience supporting customers (e.g., airlines, operators, lessors).
- Prior AOG resolution experience.
- Leading structural analysis teams.
- Experience with damage tolerance analysis.
Mid‑Level (Level3): $117,900–$144,100.
Senior (Level4): $143,100–$174,900.
