Associate Airplane Performance Engineer – Flight Operations Engineering, Customer Support, Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Seal Beach, California.

• Analyze aerodynamics data and airplane characteristics across Boeing commercial airplane models.
• Perform takeoff, landing, and enroute performance analysis using Boeing Standard Computerized Aircraft Performance (SCAP) and Enroute software.
• Transform and organize performance data for compatibility with various software applications and database formats.
• Develop, maintain, and support Boeing operational performance databases for all phases of flight.
• Translate customer requests and engineering data into clear, testable database requirements.
• Design and execute comprehensive test plans to verify and validate database requirements and design specifications, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conformity with engineering standards.
• Provide Flight Operations service engineering support to airline customers, addressing inquiries related to performance database, operational dispatch, and flight‐planning data.
• Champion continuous improvement of technologies, tools, and processes to increase technical readiness, reduce cycle time, and lower costs.
• Assist in training colleagues on work processes and deliverables to build team capability and ensure consistent quality.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
• At least 2 years of engineering experience.

• Experience in airplane performance and flight operations.
• Familiarity with artifact repositories and source control tools and processes.
• Experience developing engineering and scientific applications in Python, C#, or Fortran.

Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Summary pay range for Associate (level
2) is $104,400 – $127,600.
