Guidance Nav & Control Engineer
Join the Commercial Airplanes (BCA) team as an Experienced Design Engineer (Level
4) specializing in Mechanical Flight Controls. This role is crucial to ensuring the safety and compliance of our aircraft with FAA regulations. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of design principles, aircraft performance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring our aircraft meet the highest safety standards.
Location:
Seal Beach, CA Salary Range: $90 - $95/hr. (Based on Exp.)
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- 5 years of experience in related engineering roles, specifically in Mechanical Flight Controls within the aerospace industry.
- 2 years of experience using CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and/or DELMIA.
- 2 years of experience with commercial aircraft programs.
- Prior work experience at a client or in the client's industry.
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Skills & Qualifications
- Current Design Engineering (DE) Approver.
- Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Strong collaborative skills to deal with multiple team functions.
- Experience reviewing/approving Service Bulletins.
- Work with the OoP Chief Program Engineer (CPE) office as the Responsible Engineer on Continued Operational Safety Program (COSP) and Safety Related Problem (SRP) projects.
- Support BCA Production, BGS Modifications, BGS Converted Freighter program, and Engineering changes for OoP aircraft.
- Provide design solutions to the Service Engineering team for BCS and other fleet issues.
- Perform new detail design and participate in troubleshooting and resolution of in-service issues.
- Collaborate with various organizations to ensure world-class Mechanical Systems.
- Conduct or participate in design reviews and prepare technical presentations for executive review boards.
- Engage in supplier coordination and participate in testing.
- Participate in activities related to the certification of products with regulatory agencies.
