The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineer-Developer to support our Engineering Analytics team l o cated in Seal Beach, California.

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) National Systems Programs (NSP) software capability . The ideal candidate will develop and maintain data analysis tools and environments. The y will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to continuously improve software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives . Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level and Experienced Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

* Develop, test, and maintain software applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
* Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.
* Develop, maintain , enhance, and optimize software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
* Develop, document, and m aintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, i nterfaces and designs for software products.
* Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings.
* Analyze, characterize, debug and resolve performance related issues to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.
* Handle user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues, and analyze user feedback.
* Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
* Develop, establish , monitor, and improve software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align with organization goals and industry benchmarks.
* Execute and document software research and development projects.
* Advise on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
* Perform software project management activities and software supplier management functions.
* Track and evaluate software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.
* Perform cost benefit analysis to help guide technical solutions Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
* 1+ years of experience in Python scripting
* 1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
* Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Level 3 : 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
* Active TS/SCI w/ adjudicated polygraph
* Experience with Java and Java script /React
* Experience with Kubernetes
* Experience with databases, Linux, and mTLS Drug Free Workplace:
