Sr. IT Security Analyst

Sr. IT Security Analyst – Senior Information Security Analyst for a well‑established California bank with over 100 years of operation. Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year.

We are looking for an experienced professional to manage and advance the bank’s information security posture.

• Selection, design, configuration, administration, and monitoring of security controls to maintain reliability, performance, and availability of systems.
• Contributing to IT and information security risk assessment documentation.
• Participating in research and development of security technologies to assess, monitor, and reduce vulnerabilities.
• Automating security activities and data analysis using scripting and data management (Python, Power Shell).
• Documenting work activities in activity logs, reports, problem management systems, change management systems, project tracking systems, and similar systems.
• Documenting system design and configuration information with factual accuracy and business‑writing standards.
• Following change management procedures to minimize disruption to production systems.

• Experience administering Windows and Linux servers or network systems (Arista, Cisco, HP).
• Understanding and experience with security technologies such as firewalls (Fortinet), web application firewalls, IDS/IPS, email encryption gateways, vulnerability scanning tools, forensics tools.
• Exposure to log/packet capturing & decoding of various attack signatures (e.g., SQL injection, cross‑site scripting).
• Experience collaborating with vendors to implement security‑related projects.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory access rights, user access provisioning, SQL access, and operating system security.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, M365 cloud security, and Intune.
• Exposure to Ethernet, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, and enterprise‑level backup software.
• Experience with SIEM systems such as Sumo Logic or Splunk.

• 6+ years of applicable security and system administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required.
• Security certifications preferred (GIAC, ISC², CompTIA – CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, GCIH, CEH, etc.).
• Microsoft Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Security Engineer Associate.

• Microsoft Certified:
  Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Additional certifications from GIAC, ISC², CompTIA, or Microsoft Cloud preferred.
