Linux System Administrator (Associate) – The Boeing Company, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space and Launch Organization – Seal Beach, CA.
Position Responsibilities- Assist with installation, configuration, and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and AWS environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate AWS services, enhancing system capabilities and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with advanced security directives, including the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Support system lifecycle management activities, including system provisioning, patching, and maintenance of RHEL environments.
- Perform user administration to manage user access in accordance with security policies and support problem resolution.
- Engage in on‑the‑job training, including self‑study, mentor/mentee relationships, and hands‑on learning to develop skills in Linux and cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support program objectives in an Agile environment.
- All work performed onsite in Seal Beach, CA, in compliance with security standards and protocols.
- Currently active Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) clearance or completed a Tier5 (T5) investigation within the past 5 years.
- Experience with Linux, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration of RHEL servers or workstations.
- Ability to obtain Security+ (Sec+) or equivalent IAT Level2 certifications per DoD Instruction
8570 (8140). - Willingness and ability to relocate to Seal Beach, CA, at own expense if not already within commuting distance.
- Cybersecurity experience or knowledge.
- Threat management experience or knowledge.
- Security hardening experience or knowledge.
- User access and identity management experience or knowledge.

Summary Pay Range:
• Level1: $79,050 – $106,950
• Level2: $98,600 – $133,400
