Airline Support Engineer (Senior or Principle)
Location: Seal Beach, CA
Position OverviewAt Boeing Commercial Airplanes, we design, build, certify, deliver, and maintain products and services that prioritize safety, quality, and value for our airline customers. In this role you will serve as the technical interface between Boeing and our airline partners, maintaining operational and reliability performance for safe and economical operations. You will collaborate with expert engineers, leadership within BCA, and at airline customers to act as a technical advocate, manage airline-specific issues, recommend reliability improvements, and lead executive and technical review meetings.
PositionResponsibilities
- Act as a proactive technical customer advocate for selected airline customers.
- Lead and understand the perspective of the airlines you represent; maintain knowledge of Boeing products and customer needs.
- Coordinate with functional/integration teams within Boeing to drive customer issues to closure.
- Maintain frequent contact and coordination with Boeing Field Service Representatives and customer airlines.
- Author and review documentation associated with the airlines, including communication system messages, trip reports, meeting minutes, and reliability reports.
- Use program management skills to lead resolution of customer in‑service issues, assess priorities, allocate resources, and develop action plans.
- Manage multiple projects and demands in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment while communicating plans to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interact with senior and mid‑level executives at airlines and Boeing, and present to airline customer and Boeing executive leadership.
- Coordinate travel to airline bases and customers; occasional travel abroad and work in alternate shifts as needed to support 24/7 customer needs.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet business demands.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, with travel not exceeding 10%.
- Experience working with organizational leaders to develop and implement plans and objectives.
- Experience supporting technical questions for airplane programs or similar.
- Willingness to travel periodically to integrate with customers, suppliers, and other organizations.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at Seal Beach, CA. Occasional travel to airline bases and customers is required; travel abroad may exceed 10% in total.

Pay and BenefitsBoeing offers competitive base pay and variable compensation, along with a total rewards package that includes health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid and unpaid time off. Pay ranges based on level and experience are as follows:
- Senior (Level
4): $128,350 – $173,650 - Principle (Level
5): $157,250 – $212,750
US‑based position; U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
RelocationRelocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility.
