Position: SAP Functional Lead - Supply Chain Planning (IBP or APO)

A Day In The Life

The SAP Supply Chain Planning Lead is a hands‑on role that will provide SAP Functional design leadership and direction as part of the newly formed SAP Center of Excellence (COE) within the Information Technology organization. This position will help lead the functional/solution architecture and design of a newly implemented SAP S4/Hana system in the area of Supply Chain Planning.

  • Lead functional/solution architecture and design of SAP S4/Hana system for Supply Chain Planning.
  • Collaborate with business Supply Chain, planning and operational teams, the AMS team, and other SAP functional leads to ensure functional design and configuration in Planning, VMS, Material Management, Variant Configuration, Sales and Distribution, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Plant maintenance align with SAP best practices, documentation compliance, and business requirements.
  • Support an SAP S/4

    HANA implementation within the automotive industry and maintain operational support of the system.
  • Work with AMS partner, business and technical teams to resolve and reduce identified defects and changes.
  • Make changes to or guide efforts to customize existing programs or add new programs to existing platforms.
  • Assist in organizational change management around the use of SAP software.
  • Facilitate, gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP application requirements.
  • Design and implement SAP solutions that address business requirements, integrating solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business needs.
  • Provide SAP support including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and problem resolution.
  • Research production problems and/or enhancement issues, initiate action and evaluate issues to develop alternative solutions.
  • Act as key member of the SAP team responsible for the functional design of WRICES for the sales and distribution functional area.
  • Support the development team to define and document solution architecture for new initiatives or enhancements.
  • Be a recognized leader within the team, expert in SAP IBP/APO and Supply Chain and Planning domain, including warranty knowledge.
  • Apply expert knowledge of SAP IBP and SAP S4 HANA integration, including experience with IBP, CI-DS, and S4 integration for end-to-end supply chain planning, demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, S&OP alignment and performance monitoring through the control tower.
  • Research new knowledge and collaborate on solutions for the SAP environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of SAP releases, patches and applying OSS notes.
  • Collaborate and provide excellent customer service to end users, working closely with Architecture, Functional, Development, BASIS, and Security teams and AMS teams to deliver high quality solutions on time.
  • Demonstrate senior/leadership understanding and influence with business customers.
  • Exhibit excellent ability to multi‑task assigned duties and SAP operational areas.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Highly organized; able to organize and assimilate large amounts of complex information.
  • Work under minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and guidelines.
  • Review and follow data privacy practices, policies, and guidelines.
What We Need From You
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the field or in a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with SAP ERP implementation projects of moderate to high complexity and post go‑live support; SAP S/4 Hana additional experience preferred.
  • 8+ years of configuration expertise in SAP IBP or SAP APO with familiarity in Demand Planning, S&OP, Inventory and Supply Planning, designing scalable solutions, configuring planning areas, key figures, master data and time profiles, and…
