Position SummaryCompletes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapts to change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
WhatYou’ll Do
Performs basic to intermediate inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines on all Walmart equipment such as trailers, tractors, yard trucks, shop equipment, and service vehicles. Creates and processes work orders, assesses maintenance, repair, and replacement needs, identifies needed parts and solutions, selects the best possible solution, and conducts maintenance repairs and replacements—for example, repairing and replacing brake system components (air, anti‑skid, ABS, disc brakes), replacing leaky wheel seals, dismounting/installing tractor‑trailer tires, following DOT guidelines, and requirements.
Communicates with individuals or groups, such as customers, suppliers, and associates verbally and in writing, and completes work orders, records, logs, and other documents. Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling, monitoring drop safety, following procedures for fuel additives, monitoring tank levels, collecting and preparing samples for analysis and shipping, and completing appropriate paperwork.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Brake inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.25.
- Vehicle inspection qualified as defined in FMCSA regulations, Section 396.19.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- ASE Certification.
- DOT Transportation Certification.

Hourly wage range: $29.45 – $32.95, with additional compensation premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
