The Entry Level Rodman role is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Searcy, AR. This role works as part of a field survey crew, assisting surveyors with setting up and operating surveying equipment such as tripods, prisms, rods, and stakes. Day‑to‑day tasks include measuring and marking survey points, clearing minor brush or obstacles, carrying and organizing equipment, and following instructions to record field data accurately.
The rodman helps maintain a safe work environment, supports accurate documentation of survey measurements, and travels to various job sites as needed. This position provides foundational experience in land surveying and offers training and guidance from experienced team members.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- Basic math and measurement skills, with attention to detail and accuracy when reading tape measures, levels, and other tools.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities to follow directions, coordinate with survey crew members, and maintain professional conduct on job sites.
- Reliable transportation to the Searcy, AR office and local job sites, with consistent punctuality and dependability.
- Willingness to learn surveying practices, safety procedures, and use of field equipment; prior construction or outdoor work experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; eligibility to work on‑site and comply with company safety and operational policies.
