Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision of the Lead Applications Systems Analyst, the Applications Systems Analyst role is to strategically facilitate the organization’s application needs, including but not limited to support of the MEDITECH system, assist in resolving application issues as they arise day‑to‑day, and support IT support technicians as needed. Responsibilities include ensuring applications are available to end users, accurate, and thoroughly tested, assisting in system startups in a timely and accurate manner, and providing support to other departments where required.
The position is for one shift, five days per week, and the incumbent is subject to overtime, on‑call duty, and callbacks as required by the organization.
Works in a well‑lit, air‑conditioned office. Some travel is required.
Mental EffortThe position is prone to many interruptions and repetitive tasks.
Qualifications- Education:
A college diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field preferred. - Training and
Experience:
Minimum three years of experience with computer operations/operating systems and/or software applications. Solid working knowledge of current technologies. Hands‑on software troubleshooting experience preferred. Experience working independently and in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment is essential. - Job Knowledge:
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment. Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Adept at conducting research into software‑related issues and products. Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Customer service skills are an asset. Highly logical, self‑motivated, and directed. Keen attention to detail. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
