Job Title: Clinical Application Specialist Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Position Summary:

The Clinical Application Specialist is responsible for the support, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, PACS, Pharmacy, Lab, and other clinical applications. This role analyzes clinical and operational needs, implements system solutions, and provides ongoing support to ensure the clinical systems effectively supports patient care, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Analyzes clinical and operational business needs and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Builds, configures, and maintains workflows, templates, orders, charges, schedules, and related system components.
  • Ensures the consistency and maintainability of the clinical systems by following established standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoots clinical systems issues and resolves system, workflow, and data-related problems.
  • Supports system upgrades, testing, and validation of new functionality.
  • Coordinates with clinical staff, leadership, and IT teams to implement enhancements and changes.
  • Maintains system accuracy related to patient information, clinical data, scheduling, and billing-related configurations.
  • Provides training and ongoing support to end users.
  • Assists with report requests and supports operational, quality, and compliance reporting.
  • Manages user access, security roles, and audit-related requests.
  • Participates in education and continuous learning related to clinical systems functionality and best practices.
  • Represents the IT Clinical Services team in meetings when appropriate.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
    Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, laboratory technology, a healthcare related field, or equivalent experience; or licensed nursing credentials (LPN or higher).
  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with the most current technologies and products utilized in the industry.
