Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Hours for this position are 2:00pm-10:30pm.

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of all plant process and materials handling equipment.
• Repair or maintain machinery and mechanical equipment within the facility such as motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and engineering drawings.
• Suggest improvements to work methods and procedures by communicating with workers, leaders, and supervisors.
• Initiate purchase orders or work orders for parts, tools, and machines.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of a two‑year program from a vocation or technical school.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Maintain adherence to scheduled work hours, including start, end, lunch, and break times.
• Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines.
• Be accountable to Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are high (PPE required).
• Must wear mandated PPE based on assigned job area.
• Frequently required to stand and walk in a manufacturing environment for 8+ hours.
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, and perform various job‑related tasks when necessary.
• Must be able to position self to move, reach with arms/hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• Must be able to inspect and operate all job‑related equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and/or push/pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
