Location:
Searcy, AR, US.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current licensure in the State of Arkansas.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- No less than 2 weeks but no more than 3 months individualized orientation period.
- Ability to practice nursing: the diagnosis and treatment of human responses to actual or potential health alterations. Utilization of the nursing process in the provision of nursing care including administration of prescribed treatments, medications, and diagnostic tests, formulating a plan of care using the problem list, collaborating with other health care providers, and providing education to patients and/or significant others.
- Safety sensitive position. Requires that the employee not use medical marijuana or possess a medical marijuana card. Classified as safety sensitive to protect the health and safety of patients, associates, and guests.
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, identification of nursing problems, implementation, and evaluation.
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
Act as a resource nurse when oriented and directed. Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Apply knowledge of patient age, cultural diversity, spiritual, and emotional needs into the provision of patient care. Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes.
Physical RequirementsMaintains good physical and emotional well-being. Job responsibilities require a considerable amount of physical work, including lifting and moving patients, pushing carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment, and lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to bend over to perform certain duties such as checking chest tube drainage and urinary output. Must maneuver through halls, stairways, and patient rooms during emergencies.
Requires good vision and hearing. Significant amount of writing and computer entry. Requires trips to various departments.
Exposure to malodorous body fluids and infectious wastes may mandate wearing gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles.
