Position: (USA) Service Shop Entry Technician -Searcy, AR (2nd Shift)

Position Summary

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans;

using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

What You'll Do
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs following company guidelines under the direct supervision of a qualified shop technician on Walmart equipment such as trailers; create and process work orders; assess maintenance and repair needs; identify needed parts and possible solutions; select the best solution; conduct maintenance and repairs including dismounting/installing tires on wheels, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, replacing lights, trailer door repairs;

    and follow company and Department of Transportation DOT guidelines and requirements.
  • Seek approval for maintenance and repairs performed by qualified shop technicians and communicate with individuals or groups (customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and in writing; complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance; follow procedures for fuel additives; monitor tank levels before and after the drop; collect and prepare fuel samples for analysis and shipping; and complete appropriate paperwork.
