Trades ​/ Skilled Labor Operator, Construction Labor ​/ Trades

Grid Source is seeking a Operator I in Searcy, AR

A Laborer is responsible for executing tasks to assist in the daily operations at a construction site. They are responsible for handling tools and equipment and adhering to all safety protocols. Prepare the site by clearing out any hazardous material and assisting the crew members as needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and materials.

• Has the ability to use a variety of miscellaneous tools and equipment to dig.

• Assist their crew members and help them fulfil the project goals.

• Construct temporary structures that could aid in the completion of a project.

• Report any tools or equipment that may not meet the standards of Grid Source.

• Following instructions from supervisors and crew leaders.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Previous experience in the broadband industry required.

• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 95 lbs.

• Required to lift 32-foot ladder.

• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

• May be required to climb poles (with proper equipment), ladders, and other structures as necessary.

• Required to work within limited confines, such as crawl spaces, as needed.

• While performing the duties of this job, the Employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The Employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment year around in all weather conditions. The Employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, radiation, and vibration.

• Employees may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
