Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Shuttle Driver to transport end dump loads between our facility and designated disposal outlets. This position is responsible for safely operating a Class A tractor‑trailer with an end dump trailer, completing multiple shuttle runs each shift, and ensuring materials are transported efficiently while maintaining compliance with all DOT and company safety standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial driver with end dump experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

  • Safely operate a Class A tractor‑trailer with an end dump trailer.
  • Shuttle material from the processing facility to designated disposal sites or outlets.
  • Complete multiple trips daily while maintaining production schedules.
  • Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections of the tractor and trailer.
  • Safely load, transport, and unload materials following company procedures.
  • Operate end dump equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Verify load weights and ensure compliance with DOT weight restrictions.
  • Complete required DOT logs, inspection reports, and transportation documentation.
  • Maintain communication with dispatch and operations regarding route status and production needs.
  • Report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately.
  • Keep equipment clean and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Assist with other transportation or operational duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and pre‑employment drug screening.
  • Ability to pass background screening, if required.
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
  • Ability to safely operate manual or automatic transmission vehicles, as required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating end dump trailers
    .
  • Experience hauling bulk materials, aggregate, waste, compost, construction debris, or agricultural products.
  • Experience working in industrial, recycling, landfill, or construction environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems.
  • Heavy equipment or material handling experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles multiple times per shift.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access trailer equipment.
  • Bend, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed during inspections and unloading.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving.
