Position SummaryThe Superintendent is responsible for leading all field operations from mobilization through project completion. This role oversees subcontractors, self-perform crews, scheduling, safety, logistics, and quality control to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and experienced managing commercial construction projects in active environments.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and supervise all field construction activities
- Lead and motivate field personnel and subcontractors to meet schedule and production goals
- Develop and maintain weekly schedules; collaborate on master project schedule
- Manage self-perform activities and track productivity
- Order materials, equipment, and coordinate inspections
- Create and maintain jobsite logistics plans
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and proactively address hazards
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, inspectors, and trade partners
- Ensure quality control across all phases of construction
- Mentor and supervise foremen and field crews
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
- Experience with scheduling, material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and quality control
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and field operations
- Ability to manage diverse teams and personalities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required)
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, Navisworks, MS Project, or similar tools preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred but not required
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Knowledge of LEED, SWPPP, and sustainability practices a plus
- Ability to work in an active outdoor construction environment
- Frequent bending, walking, lifting, and climbing
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs
- Valid driver's license required
