This is a part-time (20 hours per week), temporary position through March 31, 2028
, with the possibility of renewal based on continued funding.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,200 (Step
6) to $3,749.50 (Step 14) per month.

Purpose

Under the general direction of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Coordinator of Servingness Initiatives leads strategic oversight to assess, develop and implement campus-wide goals for establishing a culture of servingness. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating current strategies, using existing and emerging data to demonstrate successes and needs, and implementing a comprehensive success initiative that promotes academic achievement, belonging, and post-graduation success for all students.

The position advances CSUMB’s strategic equity goals and student success initiatives by developing responsive and data-informed approaches to student persistence, retention, and completion. The incumbent will maintain and establish new relationships with regional and national partners, conduct assessment and evaluation projects, and provide holistic student development programs and services. The incumbent will also collaborate closely with and provide support to implement the ideas generated by the HSI Advisory Committee, Enrollment management and Student Affairs and the Office of the Provost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Strategic Coordination & Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership to advance a campus-wide culture of servingness that supports student belonging, achievement, and post-graduation success.
    • Convene and facilitate cross-divisional partners to align initiatives, coordinate action plans, and sustain momentum toward institutional goals, including Excelencia recognition.
    • Identify ongoing servingness initiatives already in place across campus. Coordinate and establish regular meetings across key constituent groups involved in servingness planning and implementation to support a cohesive approach.
  • Data Analysis, Assessment & Evaluation
    • Lead the development and integration of quantitative and qualitative data to assess institutional progress toward servingness and student success goals.
    • Translate data into actionable insights that identify equity gaps, inform strategy, and guide continuous improvement.
    • Produce clear, meaningful evaluations that support evidence-based decision-making and demonstrate institutional impact to campus and external stakeholders.
