Lecturers will perform teaching and related duties in the Kinesiology department. Duties include delivering classroom instruction, providing additional support to students outside the classroom, and teaching distance‑education courses as required. Assignment units vary with the department’s needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver instruction in Kinesiology courses assigned by the department.
- Provide student support outside the classroom.
- Participate in distance‑education instruction as needed.
- Carry out additional assignments as directed by the department.
- Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
- Terminal degree with evidence of effective teaching across diverse methodologies.
- Demonstrated commitment to CSUMB’s vision and inclusive excellence.
- Background check required.
- Report to the Campus Title IX Officer on relevant matters.
- Maintain confidentiality per Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and California Education Code Chapter 13.
- Work in the State of California.
Monthly base salaries are prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester. For a three‑unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608 to $7,465 per semester.
