Overview
Instructional Faculty - Temporary/Lecturer 1 in Human Development and Family Science at California State University, Monterey Bay. Position is part‑time (15 units divided across semesters), on‑site in Monterey Bay, California.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses and maintain additional hours outside the classroom to provide additional assistance to students.
- Work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Assignments may include instruction in distance‑education mode as department needs require.
Master's degree in related field or equivalent, per University guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications- Terminal degree.
- Evidence of effective teaching across a variety of methodologies.
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to CSUMB's vision.
- Background check (including criminal records) required.
- Duty to report Title IX concerns as required by CSU EO 1095, 1096, and 1097.
- Must maintain confidentiality as per Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and California's educational privacy regulations.
- Employment in the State of California is required.
Base salary prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester. Typical starting compensation for a three‑unit assignment ranges from $6,608 to $7,465 per semester.
