RESPONSIBILITIES- Facilitating engaged learning to promote student success in an outcomes‑based education environment.
- Contributing to continuous improvement in undergraduate and graduate curriculum design and delivery.
- Teach 12 credits per semester for undergraduate and graduate level courses (8 credits per semester for the first two years), drawn from one or more areas of marketing such as marketing research and integrated marketing communications.
- Demonstrate research productivity and maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status consistent with AACSB standards through continuous scholarly activities.
- Participate actively and exercise collaborative peer leadership in college‑level and university‑level administrative committees.
- Use academic training and experience to serve the profession and the public and contribute to the CSUMB Vision.
- Mentor students and support their career goals through introductions and referrals to relevant firms.
- Demonstrate a collegial, "can do" mindset to advance the overall health of the College.
- Ph.D. in Marketing or related field by the time of appointment from an AACSB‑accredited doctoral program.
- Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and potential to teach at the graduate level.
- Sensitivity for working effectively in an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community and business community.
- Ability to teach a range of Marketing courses effectively in various delivery modalities (face‑to‑face, hybrid, fully online).
- Ability, demonstrated by publications and other evidence, to regularly publish research in impactful peer‑reviewed journals.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues in a collegial manner.
- Ability to work with the business community and community organizations to further the goals of the students, college, and university.
- Experience in digital technologies, data analytics, and AI applied to teaching‑informing course design, instruction, and student learning.
- Experience deploying innovative instructional technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in professional or academic areas.
- Ability to teach a variety of courses related to Marketing.
- Experience teaching students from underrepresented minority populations.
- Experience with AACSB accreditation processes.
- International recognition of research and experience in international collaborations.
- Knowledge and experience in community engagement, particularly with historically underrepresented minority populations.
- Experience teaching graduate‑level courses in the College's online MBA program.
- Ability to link instructional, programmatic, and/or research activities to the mission of the College of Business, focusing on Responsible Business and other strategic initiatives.
All offers of employment are contingent upon a background check. Employment is conditioned upon working in California.
COMPENSATIONAnticipated Hiring Salary Range: $10,813 to $11,382 per month ($129,757 to $136,586 annually). Pay is determined by scope, qualifications, and other factors per CSU systemwide pay.
