Job Overview

Occupational Therapist

Pay Rate: $48.00 – $57.00 per hour.

• Develop the rehabilitation system under the leadership of the Director of Rehabilitation and Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy, ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and national regulations, licensing requirements, and insurance certifications.
• Review physician referrals and patient records to assess physical therapy treatment needs, and perform tests, measurements, and evaluations to guide the development or revision of treatment and training plans.
• Update treatment plans and re-evaluate patients as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes, documenting progress daily in the company’s required format.
• Supervise and direct physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and support staff, ensuring they perform their responsibilities effectively and within company guidelines.
• Develop professional relationships with external medical providers, including specialists in orthopedic care, internal medicine, dentistry, chiropractic, and massage therapy.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge, and contribute to the overall improvement of the team’s capabilities.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, and efficient communication with patients, physicians, co‑workers, and external facilities.
• Adhere to safety protocols, maintain confidentiality, and conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects the company’s values.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic.
• Ability to effectively perform each essential duty.
• Solid basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals for all units of measure.

Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy school.

• CA State Board of Occupational Therapy licensure or applicant for CA state licensure.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Optional: ATC, CSCS, SCS, OCS, or similar certifications preferred but not required.
