Job DescriptionThe Club Repair Specialist promotes and maintains a store culture consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, ensuring a memorable and positive customer experience.
- Perform all club performance modifications according to customer’s needs.
- Provide the customer with a superior golf club repair experience by recommending product and service options and constructing or modifying golf clubs as needed.
- Manage inventory through accurate recording of shop consumption, usage, and waste.
- Operate shop equipment safely by complying with workplace safety programs.
- Show accuracy in completing all order forms and repair tags.
- Measure lie & loft angles, club height, weight & shaft flex, and make adjustments based on customer needs.
- Repair broken clubheads and change golf club shafts and grips.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of golf club‑making and repair techniques, product features and benefits.
- Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
- Operate general phone systems and basic computer applications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system; operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of word‑processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems.
- Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time.
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Prior golf club repair experience is a plus, but not required (entry‑level candidates are welcome to apply!).
- Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of retail operations is a plus, but not required.
The hourly rate for this position is $16.90 – $20.00 per hour. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
