Seaside, Oregon Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens Opportunity
Oregon Coast
• Low-Volume Community ED
• 10–12 Shifts/Month
• Ongoing Coverage
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for ongoing locum tenens coverage in Seaside, Oregon, beginning November 2026.
This opportunity combines a low-volume community Emergency Department with substantial hospital support and a consistent monthly schedule on Oregon's North Coast. The practice is based within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital providing emergency care 24/7 alongside general surgery, diagnostic imaging and specialty services.
Physicians should be comfortable working a combination of day and night coverage, with the greatest current need on nights.
Opportunity Highlights
- Start: November 1, 2026
- Duration: Ongoing
- 10–12 shifts per month
- Flexible monthly scheduling based on physician availability
- Low-volume community Emergency Department
- Approximately 6,000 annual ED visits
- Oregon Coast location
- 25-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Broad-spectrum Emergency Medicine

Night Shift: 6:00 PM–7:00 AM
The current coverage need requires physicians willing to work both days and nights, with approximately half of the schedule consisting of night coverage.
Physicians should be able to provide approximately 10–12 shifts per month. Exact dates within each month can be coordinated around provider availability.
Emergency Medicine Practice
This is a general Emergency Medicine practice serving a coastal community and surrounding North Oregon Coast region.
Physicians must be comfortable managing the breadth of Emergency Department presentations and performing intubations when clinically indicated.
Current facility information confirms 24/7 emergency medicine within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital offering general surgery, radiology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, primary and specialty care.
Physician Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- ABEM/AOBEM Emergency Medicine training strongly preferred

- Board Eligible physicians must be within 3 years of residency
- Active medical license
- DEA
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
- NRP highly preferred

This assignment offers an unusual combination: lower-volume Emergency Medicine with meaningful recurring shift availability in a genuine coastal community.
Seaside sits between the Pacific Ocean and Oregon's Coast Range, while the hospital serves as a central component of Providence's North Coast network.
For physicians interested in a longer-running locums relationship rather than isolated coverage dates, the 10–12 shift monthly need and ongoing timeline provide meaningful continuity at a single location.
