Position: Inpatient Pharmacy Tech - IV Admixture (Temp-to-Hire)

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient
Location: Seaside, OR 97138
Shift: Day Shift (09:30 AM - 06:00 PM) + Weekend Shift (07:30 AM - 06:00 PM)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)
Hours: 40 hours/week (8-hour shifts, 5 days/week)
Position Summary

TheInpatient Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications within a critical access hospital environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and hands-on experience in IV medication preparation to ensure safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical care.
Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Perform IV admixture of non-hazardous medications
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory, storage, and organization
  • Label, package, and distribute medications in compliance with safety standards
  • Utilize the EPIC system for medication tracking and documentation
  • Support medication reconciliation and restocking processes
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and clinical staff to support patient care delivery
Required Skills & Experience
  • Prior travel assignment experience (required)
  • IV admixture experience (non-hazardous medications) (required)
  • Strong focus on medication safety and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a small hospital setting
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Pharmacy Technician training or certification (preferred)
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • Active Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (required, in hand)
  • PTCB Certification (preferred)
