Pharmacy Technician - Providence Seaside Hospital, Seaside, OR
Full-Time, Day shift.
Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment.
Job Overview: The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech II performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt and accurate manner. Responsibilities include filling/dispensing oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
Salary: Pay Range: $22.20 - $33.97 per hour. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or GED.
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician upon hire, or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
- Minimum of one year (>2080 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and current PTCB certification; OR 2 years (>4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program.
- Specialty certification (e.g., ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) applicable to the role.
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR).
