Pharmacy Technician

Providence Seaside Hospital, Seaside, OR. Full time, day shift. $5,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible external candidates. Compensation includes a base salary, shift differentials, overtime, standby, premiums, and bonus opportunities.

The Acute Care Pharmacy Technician II performs duties related to filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt and accurate manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Fill and dispense oral and intravenous medications.
• Triage patient orders.
• Maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS).
• Support pharmacy operations and emergency coverage as needed.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire OR Oregon Pharmacy Technician license upon hire.
• Minimum of one year (over 2080 clock hours) pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with current PTCB certification; OR two years (over 4160 hours) hospital pharmacy if not PTCB certified.

• Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program.
• Specialty certification such as ACPE approved sterile compounding certification.
• Experience with automated dispensing machines and electronic health records.

$22.20 – $33.97 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.
