Senior Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Senior Pharmacy Technician at Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR. Per Diem / Day Shift

The Acute Care Pharmacy Technician III is responsible for filling and dispensing unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and ancillary departments efficiently and accurately. Duties include filling/dispensing oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders, maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system (ADS), and demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in two or more specialty areas.

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician (or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License) upon hire
• 2 years minimum of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system with PTCB certification – OR – 3 years in a hospital pharmacy without PTCB certification (≥ 4160 or 6240 clock hours)
• Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)

• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician program
• Advanced PTCB certifications (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history, controlled substances)
• Specialty certification applicable by role and state (e.g., ACPE approved sterile compounding certification)
